The Revolutionaire kept up the expectation we had in terms of music quality and friendly vibe. The guest DJs were wicked and Montonn Jira proved just how minimal techno can be sexy and mental.
From the start to the very end, the packed Club Culture was vibrating with the music. It just went a big wrong when the music stopped and an argument exploded at the back of the room. The reason of the row, whatever it is, wasted the feeling of having spent a perfect night.
Fights in clubs are nothing surprising but idiots throwing glasses at each other after such a wicked party darkened the vibe.
On the same night, but another scale, Carl Cox had to witness what has probably been the worst gig of his career. While playing in Caracas,Venezuela, a gunman started shooting in the crowd and killed four people.
From his website Carl Cox posted this :
“I am deeply shocked and still stunned by the events of this Saturday [3rd November].
My condolences go out to victims that were caught up in this horrific act that took place at this gig.
I am informed that it was gang related and feel so sad that anybody would act in such a manner when the event was full of 7000 people having fun!
I will try my best to continue on the tour across South America however deeply shocked and shaken I am."
The VJ captured the carnage and posted it on Youtube. We're putting up the vid but are warning you of its shocking content.
